Anyone know what a good price would be for an existing garage wall (garage being converted to a single story room)?

Garage wall is 4 meters long (approx.).

if just a conversion why the need for underpinning.

If its a dogey wall 4m long and single story why not knock it?

Good point, but the wall itself isn't dodgy amazingly there are no signs of structural damage. However, the existing foundation is; its 3 inches deep.

The foundation of the wall is 3" deep? Or the floor screed?

lol, yes! Seriously, its ridiculous looking. It looks as if whoever built it, poured a screed, and built the wall on top of it. If its a foundation, it's a fooking very shallow one.

I think it would be cheaper to knock the wall down and start again! It's what I would do. As it's only 4m long it's small and a block layer wouldn't take long to reconstruct once proper foundations are poured:rolleyes:. Could it be build on a raft foundation? Any chance of digging a test hole to see how deep it is?
