    Hiya
Have a BT phone line and want broadband. Speed is not so important, though the ability to stream TV etc is desirable. Wanna do lotsa P2P music d'loads so seeking a provider with a generous or no cap. Any suggestions?
    Cheers
    Max ;)

Have had virgin broadband for years and never had a problem, use it to stream sky player through the xbox. There are caps for the lower speed (just 10 meg iirc) but you would be better askin the virgin lads themselves

Edit: look at drakes post count!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Hi yea i would recommend that you stay with Bt and get the service for £28 with unlimited wifi and upto 40mb download speed : http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=25633, it also covers the cost for a landline phone with very good minutes so it is a really good deal. I have got it and my speed is around 10mb so its not too bad, i've never had a problem with BT they are great and their packages are superb for their prices. Its really great when you don't have to worry about how much you are on the internet when its unlimited. :pac::pac: Seriously don't bother even thinking about registering with sky or talk talk i've tried it their customer service is crap, their prices are pathetic and their speed is really slow! I think you'll find that the speeds are totally different in derry for example bt is crap their and sky is good etc it works differently in different areas. If you are living in the town then your speed will be very high i think some people get about 20mb if you check the wee speed thing it'll tell you. http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=25795 They are going to upgrade nearly all of the northern ireland network to fibre optic cable by 2012 which will have speeds of 40mb not upto but 40mb which is subperb as no other network is going to do this and its one of the highest speeds in the uk. http://www.broadbandwatcher.co.uk/northern-ireland-to-get-an-88-per-cent-fibre-coverage-from-bt-727/
