Parking near O2

Hi there, I'm heading up to Dublin tomorrow to see Peter Kay at the O2, just wondering is there somewhere nearby where I could park for free safely?! If free is not an option could you recommend somewhere not too expensive for parking that's nearby thanks

parked on upper sherriff street near junction new wapping street before
never any problems
easy escape with no hold ups
depends what side of city you are heading to though
