Assessing the quality of malleable iron fittings

    Looking at the malleable iron fittings used for handrails etc: I believe the generic name is Alvin or Key Clamps.

    Just wonder how you can visually assess the quality: all the suppliers tell me to be careful of the CCS [ Cheap, Chinese....] so am not going to order online
