    I have been following the rollout of eircom ngb and am now in the window in which my area is placed.
    On entering my telephone and account numbers today, a popup stated that my current broadband product was not one of those due for migration and suggested i change it to one that was.
    I have pasted my details from my bill, cut out the bumph, I can't see what the problem is.

    Your eircom packages
    Your package charges
    These are the charges due for package subscriptions during this billing period.
    Amount
    eircom talktime talker
    Line rental for included. Unlimited local & national calls to landlines anytime of the day or
    night.
    Broadband Home Advanced
    Includes a download speed of up to 7Mb and a download allowance of 50GB per month. 39.82 Euro inc. VAT
    Any suggestions?
    I would like to have my facts straight before contacting eircom

    As i remember when they did mine. you have to change your package to a NGB package. Which you wont be charged for till its changed . And that takes a few weeks. I think they email you when its underway.

    You should ask one of the nice guys over on the eircom board they will give you the official answer:

    In regards to your query, you are on the Home Advanced 7MB package. This
    gives you a download speed of 7MB constantly and a monthly download
    allowance of 50GB. The NGB service gives up to 8MB in speed and the
    allowance depends on the package. The Home Advanced service is not on
    the upgrade list due to the similarities of the two packs.
