If the guys are guilty and you can back that up, then yes you can publish their images in an attempt to find them (or even just to name and shame them)

However if you can't be sure that the image is of the guilty people, then publishing them may allow those people to accuse you of defamation etc.

So go ahead and publish if those are indeed the scrotes.

Thanks all for the advise. The gardai have circulated the footage to other Gardai stations but they didn't release them to me. I guess just in case it wasn't the correct people.
