My daugther got a letter yesterday stating she was not successful, usual generic letter. Her friend got one also yesterday. Both are still in secondary school and just applied for some part time work, they were not even called for an interview.

My daugthers friends sister got offered a job, I believe she left school not that long ago so is around the 18/19 years old mark. No more details than that....

ah k.. yeah have a degree myself... its some jobs where ya really need to probably take the degree down.. but its a risk, as you have to fill the gap. of 3/4 years.. ah ok yeah stick it on your fridge. Try job bridge for interns , is the way to go forward in this recession.

Have to say the new Tesco is looking very nice. They have finished it off very well, especially the frontage with the new block paving and trees.

Does anyone know if the car park will be pay & display. Otherwise I can see the mass crowd taking up all 180 spaces of a morning.

Certainly does look well up around there alright.

As for parking, I would imagine they would have to implement some sort of pay and display, otherwise it will turn into a park and ride very quickly.

Try living 60 feet from the kip, there was full moon last night could'nt see it,with the tesco lights, had to bring kids last years christmas telescope back which cost thousands it may look nice but my kids are devastated and the wife is on the verge of leaving, her new curtains are useless cant keep light out,its a damn shame they are lovely curtains, its like living in a porn movie with the tesco lights flashing outside my bedroom window.Six feet wall wont keep out my car thief neighbour.

Have you gone in and spoken to anyone in Tesco about your situation? If you live that close I cannot see them not being open to speaking with you, and perhaps trying to work something out if that is possible?

Official opening date is 28th November but it is supposed to be open today.

Yeah they have a sign up stating so. I had heard a rumour that it was opening ahead of time (midweek) but obviously not at this stage.

My initial response to them opening is I'm delighted as I hate Eurospar and avoid it at all costs if I can. Having said that, I do know that it's not really a good thing for a small town like Rush to have such a huge retail giant on its doorstep.
