Today our kitchen sockets tripped. This has happened a couple of times before and the trip switch would always go back to the on position when switched back but not this time.
I have tried turning off the main switch and unplugginf everything in the kitch but nothing happens. When the switch first tripped it did feel a little warm but cooled down quite quickly.

Is this easily fixed and if so how?? Is it likely to cost much if I need to get an electrician involved??

Its tripping for a reason, and the fault will need to be found first. Only one should be down, you shouldn't have problems with the others. Did you bring the mcb down fully before putting back up?

Whats written on the device? letters and numbers.

It depends if its the MCB or RCD. If only the kitchen sockets that are off when its tripping then it sounds like its the MCB unless the kitchen has its own RCBO. It could be just that the MCB is overloaded at times rather than a fault if it is the MCB tripping now and again. But there are a few things it could be but we would need to know whats actually tripping.

The double pole switches will only be there in relatively new houses probably. Not much info about how old the house is, if all sockets are off with trip etc.
