Has anyone filled out an export form for a US scope/firearms dealer?
Dealer stated that it would take 6 weeks from date form recieved by them (by post)

Any pitfalls or helpfull hints when filling out........?
Wont bother if its hassle......

Lots of difficulties with getting optics from the US now apparently, check with dealer, he may sell it to you, customs may impound it anyway on the other side, make sure of everything before parting with bucks!!!!

Don't forget that Customs here will probably have a look and add their charges too if it gets this far :eek:

And I heard that paperwork on US side can take a lot longer than the quoted 6 weeks and that most dealers there don't want the hassle and if they do they charge extra for it

If it is too much bother have a look for the specific model for sale here in the EU..you will proably find it is available here,at albiet a slightly higher price than a US direct export.But still cheaper than buying it from an Irish dealer.
