Carvalho will see red this evening.

His next foul and he may be gone.

You can guarantee the barca players will be all over the ref for that

if you watch the game you will see real players do the exact same - make no mistake about it.
Also as a coach, his team are capable of playing some absolutely sublime football, both posession wise, range of passing skills and of course goals - you prefer to talk about such attribites as 'drug cheat'

great break, good shot, great save, this is more like it!

Barca will score soon. Outclassing Madrid all over the pitch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

It's worked before and its perfectly legal.

I know that alright but there was absolutely no need for that there as he had no team-mate in the center and had time to take it down himself.

Barca turning up the pressure. Isnt Messi just a joy to watch.

Much better game I must say. Great stuff by Barca at the moment, looking likely to score except Casillas is playing excellent.

I did not refer to the above as 'drug cheat'. Do you not know he tested positive for steroids and was banned??

Any inkling of an opportunity for Real, ref shuts it down immediately.

Barca are really picking up the pace - Messi seems everywhere, playing exceptionally well - all that is missing is another goal for him v Real

Barca are putting on a masterclass and all we have are posters talking about last weeks game. Get a grip. This is great stuff, if you can put your dislike for Barca behind you.

I wasn't accusing him of diving, he LITERALLY fell over his own feet, or are you watching the match?

He was banned for four months. Everyone knows it was still very dubious as has been written in so many many pieces since. It was the drug of choice at the time.

You're usually a sensible poster but the implication that Maradona "single handedly won" a WC for Argentina is downright ridiculous.

Disgraceful from Diarra, kick the guy in the face.

It was close in my head between him and Diago , but his work rate pips it for me

    Are you serious ?

Puyol is playing left back and Ronaldo is playing on the left wing.

    FFS put Ronaldo facing Puyol

Nah, for that to happen he'll have to keep going at this rate until he's at least....... 25 for that, after that he'll be putting himself on a pedastal never to be touched by anyone that has gone before him.

Yes you did. And judging by the game so far, you were wrong.

I'm glad I judged this tie based on it's history ("statistics" as you call them) rather than the last 90 minutes.

    Great game so far.

Carvalho should be off, very cynical play.

Carvalho reaaly is lucky to be still on pitch. My prediction will surely come through.

I suggest you read up on the whole nandrolone in sport issue and the amount of athletes who got off on technical issues.

CONI appeal it again as they said the excuse was unfounded. The court overruled. CONI are experts in drugs in sport and they felt the need to appeal TWICE.

Do a bit of research and get back to me.

Lets put this to bed and enjoy the game.

fair enough. On a more level-headed note, let's see how Messi's career pans out before we claim he's already the greatest of all time. he could well be, but only time will tell.

My point was unfair, but I was alluding to the fact that Maradona never had this kind of quality around him.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 1,874 ✭✭✭Brain Stroking

Ref has givn Barca a few dubious decisions but they are outclassing Madrid. Casillas keeping them in it. Messi is brilliant. But he always is.
As for singlehandedly winning a world cup. Fair point but the World Cup sadly isnt where its at any more. Cahmpions League is far tougher. And Messi has been destroying everyone in this competition for years. Plus he is only 23. Zidane didnt even kick into gear until his mid-20s. Maradone was a relative flop at Barcelona. So to say Messi could well turn out to be the best player ever is not too far off the mark.

With the way the game is being played tonight,Ozil will surely be brought on,open game should suit him, massive improvement from the first leg but once again Messi is king.
