    Anyone know of any good deals on tents for camping at the moment. Decent quality and waterproof. Thanks

    Try Mary street if your in Dublin, one of the stores (can't remember which one, beside Medina indian anyway) there has what seems like a good deal on a nice 4 man gelert dome tent ,dual layer,with a 3000HH,, (rating yoke for water resistance) unfortunately its one of those pop up style tents so its when packed its a large awkward wheel shape that would be completely unsuitable for carrying around (too heavy for real backpacking anyway but shape means probably too awkward for flights/interrailing style travelling). think price is 60 euro.
    Also looks like Halfords Ireland may be having a tent sale on their website.

    If anybody knows of a Dome tent, dual layer, 2-3 man tent with hydrostatic head of 1500+, and weight of under 4-5 kilo I'd be interested (price 60 euro or below)

    Halfords are having a sale at the moment on tents. Bought a 4 man tent for a trip to the heineken cup final. The sale couldnt have come at a better time!

    Go into Mary Street and haggle a bit. Forget Halfords, support Irish owned stores.

    I was in Tesco in balbriggan the other day and they have a 6 man tent for €100

    Regatta one in Argos for 48.50 or so... reduced from €99... seems very good, tested it out over the wkend and was very happy. it's a 4 man dome http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/3401699/Trail/searchtext%3ETENT.htm

    EDIT: it seems to be gone back up to €96 now.... ah well.
