W3 Projects - Helping to Digitise the Nation

W3Projects, in conjunction with the Irish Internet Association (IIA) are running a series of events for Digitise the Nation week from 9th -13th May 2011.

Digitise the Nation is an annual initiative run by the Irish Internet Association to raise awareness of the opportunities good Internet usage practices can create.

Following the conclusion of The WebActivate project in 2010, the former participants decided to continue on the intensive learning curve they had undertaken.

W3Projects, with the invaluable assistance of Mr Jim Brick, Principal of the Galway Technical Institute (GTI), an innovative peer to peer Learning and Training Co-operative resource was founded.

Being able to avail of the expertise and knowledge of invited speakers from within the local business community as well from within the group, has enabled both the group and the members within to develop a ranget of unique skillsets.

On the 13th May from 2pm -5pm W3Projects are going to hold a free & open clinic including a series of seminars in Yeats House on Fr. Griffin Road for the Galway business community. The seminars will cover areas such as social media for business, essential characteristics for good website practices, Hosting and Domain names, SEO, plus external issues that drive any good site. For more information, or to book a place please pm to find out more.

    # 7. Feel free to let others know about your fun thing/event in response to a request for something, but starting a thread to pimp your event is not allowed. This goes for ANY type of event. This is a discussion board, not a poster wall.
