Cast Iron Postbox

Hi, I am currently building a new house and am trying to source a cast iron post box to build into pier. All I can seem to find on net are steel or cast aluminum boxes. Whats the difference between cast iron and aluminum other than cost? Anyone know a supplier of cast iron in Ireland? thanks
