Cheers Ian, I've seen the recent pics on your blog and they are just fantastic. Alas it was just a heavy shower. Some very unusual looking low level cloud which was swirling a bit before the rain arrived though.

Cheers man , if ya 'd like a copy of the dvd that im doing let me know ;):)

Rotation is quite possible , the last few days have been some good for storms like that.

Northern Italy is a great place for storm chasing, Europe's Tornado alley!

They called it an "uragano" (hurricane in Italian)....eh, I don't think so!

The traffic in the net weather forum for Monday-tuesday's storm potential Is crazy , as if it was snowing!!

    Wish I could get there !! :(

That setup is progressively moving eastwards on every run. Although CAPE and LI are off the scale there is very little LL Shear or Deep Layer Shear so not much tornadic potential yet.

Hopefully it all shifts back west on the next few runs. I'm working in London for the next few days and will have a great vantage point as i'll be commissioning a chiller on the top of a building off Bond street.

France is going to be pounded for the next few days and tennis ball sized hail should easily form as the updrafts will be faily potent.

ESTOFEX's tornadic potential charts are based on the GFS and show some excellent vorticity over france so supercell development is quite good at the moment.

    Very exciting few days ahead.

The Shear charts for France a belgium are crazy!, they could easily get some US style storms there on monday!... golf-baseball size hail!!

Serious downgrade for the se of the uk though in the last couple of runs though.

That would be shocking if it's to be believed. Those gfs charts chop and change on every run though. T+48 that's 8 runs so too far out to be anyway accurate.
