well i'm glad i missed that now. i'm waiting for the real deal. storm chasers coming in autumn and i can't wait!!!!!:D

It might be getting dated now, but it was great when it was first shown. And there are loads of people just like them doing silly things.

Seems to be a nice organised line of showers moving eastwards across the midlands.

Such a let down that was... footage was over 3 years old!, and they wer using maps instead of the computer! ha

The father and daughter wer so amatuer looking! ha....

ANd the other lads.... who goes into a rain core when theres a chance of a tornado in it?.... Thats how people die...

Was a bit poor alright but maybe the show will get better as it goes on still its nice to see the kind of weather we never have.

It doesn't. If you can put 'Storm Chasers' out of your mind and try not to compare them, it's real people doing their own thing in their free time.

BTW, when the show first aired, 'Storm Chasers' had only run it's second series and many thought 'Tornado Road' was better offering. :)

It was implied in your post. And TBH, I think most people tend to compare anyway. IMO it's still worth watching. :)

Is there anybody in Mayo at the moment, things seem to be really kicking off up there now.

EDIT: Some scattered strong convective development in a number of locations around the country at the moment.

Check out the radar animation to see how quickly these showers are developing: http://www.met.ie/latest/rainfall_radar.asp

Well sat24 is satellite imagery, good for seeing cloud especially for stuuff out of range of the radar or for seeing vertical development of storms or showers. The new radar has greatly improved since first launched.

11.1mm reported at Knock between 5pm and 6pm.

Drips of pointless rain here with a nice layer of pale stratus blocking my view of these showers
