    Thunder and lightning here at the minute and it's pouring down, 12mm of rain in the last 5 minutes.

    My rain alarms are going off all morning yet not a drop of rain. I'm just 5 miles for the city centre and as reported already it experienced some very heavy downpours.

    We had torrential rain in Galway about half hour ago, then a huge fork lightning across the sky to the East with thunder.

    I can see a large storm forming to the south west of Cork city, hopefully will be able to see some of the action from here.

    Sadly the Thunder shield is fully operational on this side of Galway as per usual frown.gif

    A heavy shower around around 1 o'Clock with a few distant rumbles off to the East was the sum total of today's excitement.

    Somehow missing all of it here. Hazy sunshine, calm, 15.5c, spitting rain and a very bland looking sky....how am I missing out?

    Just had a little hail shower here in Maynooth, a few rumbles of thunder about half an hour ago too!

    Seems the snow shield for Sligo has been upgraded to a thunder and lightening shield. I can confirm it is working tremendously!!

    seriously i need a thunderstorm, my head is bursting. the same kind of headache i had before we had that thunderstorm last week.
