    Obviously nobody can supervise thier kids 24 hours a day,what i'm saying is we /they need more education as to the potential dangers of "tasting" strange substances...including what may in fact be actual sweets.

    It probably used to seem like scaremongering but we were always told for example that taking sweets from strangers could have serious,if unexplained consequences...likewise eating sweets we found on the street could likely result in poisoning or something.

    The kids today maybe just need a refresher lesson in suspicion!

    Just as well the E's nowadays are really weak otherwise those kids could have been seriously harmed...

    E's at the minute are the strongest theyve been in years in Ireland. some come tightly packed in clear wrappers....easily mistaken as little sweets.

    On topic:
    Kids will be kids, i know lads who peeled up dirty chewing gum and ate it as kids.

    An unfortunate story but glad all the kids are ok.
