Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If you read the thread you will see that the OP says it was a commissioned image.

I am sure we have all made mistakes at work. I could see that making an extra print might be a mistake. I can see how framing a wrong print could be a mistake. I can see that putting the wrong print up for sale could be a mistake. I just feel that making all those mistakes together is getting a bit far fetched and starts to sound more like theft. To be a mistake it has to be accidental rather than intentional.

F**k me if I was paying for a commissioned print and found out it was printed in a 1 Hr photo I would demand my money back. I suspect a little white lie to exaggerate the story.

The print quality wouldn't matter to you then, just the provenance?

So if he went to a 24hour print lab, you'd be ok with that?

Well hopefully it works out well for you, have you taken any steps in persueing it? Can you PM me the name of the shop?

    Yes, and removed.

Was it the same shop who printed and framed a photo of yours last year without your permission ?

No, which is a bit of a shame, as it seems it happens more often than we think.

it does happen more than you think

thats why its worth paying for a pro lab setup, as generally the people running it are more professional and understanding

    Comedy gold! :D
Of course you're right, given that prints from a 24-hour lab are hand painted by monks descended from those who penned the Book of Kells, where as 1-hour labs just spit out prints from a crappy inkjet in the corner. :D

What is being discussed here is professionalism & ethics of the printer involved, no matter what sort of a Lab it is.

The particular outlet was named here. There was a threat of legal action and the thread was pulled while that was discussed. It has been reviewed and re-opened with the name of the outlet removed (though we do not moderate private communications with the OP)

Another regular poster here has also made contact to say they have had dealings with the same printer which raised suspicion, but was not able to be proved.

Personally I would be in favour of the outlet being named but one has to look out for the interests of the site.

I would like to be PM'd the name of the company if someone doesn't mind. Just for clarity :)
