Can't say I've seen a kebab where they have cheese without it being asked for.

Their veggie one must be pretty bland without cheese (if they do a veg one).

Can anyone confirm the opening times for this place.I'd be surprised if it wasn't open at lunchtime.I developed a taste for these in Germany where small kebab shops are everywhere.3e for an excellent and filling kebab.Haven't had a decent one since but I'm salivating now :D

I'd say a veggie one is bland no matter what you put in it.

Why would anyone order a 'kebab' if all they want is a salad sandwich lol. Surely it's not a kebab if you leave the meat out.

I just lawled reading them. What is on a vegetarian one sandeman?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,492 ✭✭✭✭thesandeman

Usually falafel. Sometimes a stir fry mix or a burrito type filling with all the salads and sauces and of course cheese (unless you are Vegan). Normally extra spicy for me anyway.
You should try one next time youre in Capital.
You might be pleasantly surprised, especially if youre on a health buzz.

Does anyone know of anywhere that do nice lamb doner kebabs?

  • Registered Users Posts: 302 ✭✭SparKing

I followed this thread with interest and decided to take the plunge.
To anyone who says this place is better than Charcoal Grill, try a kebab from there during the day (i.e. not after a feed of beer), it's order of magnitudes better than the Sahi Palace (place in Terryland Retail Park).
The Doner meat was alright if a bit cold, the sauces were okay and there was cucumber in it for some reason. The naan bread was nice though, it also was nowhere near as big as a Charcoal Grill kebab.

Charcoal was miniture the one time I got it.

For anyone that wants to try the Falafel: DONT try it in Charcoal!!
Ive had it twice from there and it was the worst I have ever tried both times (went second time cos thought it might be teething problems when they first opened).
