Hi I have upc bb non wireless, in order to get wireless am I correct in saying that I will have to get a wireless modem off upc or get a tx to send signal from my existing modem? if the later is correct does anyone have any suggestions for a cheap gaming tx.

No, you just need a wireless router (broadband/cable router). That's all.

For gaming, wireless is often a bad idea, it's just not as good as a wired connection.
