    Have heard of lots of examples of this. {now for my rant: Narrow minded local authority people (basically not business minded, and in cushy jobs being paid too much)- holding the country back, and the burdon of public sector pay is too high for the rest of us, but they wont take pay cuts!}

    I've heard of some businesses just getting on with it (eg put up a sign and wait to see what happens, rather than stick to the guidelines/trading regulation)- a lot of the time the council do nothing about it. A degree of risk taking required there.

    LETS MAKE THIS COUNTRY COMPETITIVE AGAIN- AND GIVE CONSUMERS CHOICE "Yes We Can". Do spill the beans if you're getting crap from the council, who seem happy for the country to go down the pan
