The Cork-Crossbarry-Bandon service does go by it, although I wouldn't know how useful the timetable is for anyone working out there.

I don't know if there are any cabs based in Innishannon but maybe you could negotiate a decent rate from a Bandon company to go from Innishannon to Brinny regularly.

It's about three miles on google maps.

    Saw that too :)

From the timetable it looks like it only goes that route a few time a day though, the first being at 1340. You'd want to check that those earlier buses actually go by. My feeling is that they don't, looking at the timetable.

Give the bus station a ring and ask! If that doesn't work out, there's a good few from the City/Ballincollig/Innishannon/Bandon working there, so if she gets the job at Brinny site she might be able to get the bus to one of those areas and grab a lift off someone from there. There's a pretty friendly bunch out there and they'll be doing similar hours so hope it works out.

I worked there for a summer and they specifically asked me if I had my own mode of transport in the interview as they said it was a particular problem for students to get there from the city. So don't know if not having her own transport would go against her in the interview (just to give you the heads up).

I wish her all the best with it anyway!! :)

I live next door to the factory at Brinny and it is quite a difficult place to access. There used to be a good few more buses from Bandon to Cork on that road back in the day but I dont know if there is anymore. Without your own transport, it will be difficult to get to.

However, if you use whatever means for the first few days, I am quite certain that you will find someone to carpool with. There are hundreds of workers there, many from the city. We used to put them up in our house about 20 years ago!

I hope your gf got sorted. If she gets an offer (or has at this stage!) tell her to ring the HR dept before she starts and they will help out. They normally send a site wide email out. We are all very friendly below here so best of luck. Let me know if you are still stuck
