WWE Over the Limit - Pre-Show Thread. (Spoilers for everything)

Can't see a topic for it yet, so thought I'd post, especially since the main event has been "announced" by the arena the show is in...

Although WWE has yet to announce it, The Key Arena website is advertising John Cena vs The Miz in an "I Quit" Match for The WWE Title at WWE's Over The Limit PPV on May 22nd. While WWE plans can always change, it appears as if this will be one of the main events for the upcoming PPV.

Jeez, think Cena will say "I Quit"?

Chavo beat Mysterio in a I quit match a few years back & Vince beat Stephanie in one too.Hmm was that the match where blood was shooting out of Vince's head. Cena is 3-0 in them too.Thank you Google.

Rarely but it has happened a couple of times.
But I don't think it will happen at this PPV.

Chavo beat Rey in an I quit match. I think he had Rey upside down on some sort of scaffold where he bashed Reys leg with a chair. I think Rey was injured at the time and took somke time off.

Beth beat Melina at a One Night Stand (My fave wwe diva match ever).

Cena has already won 3 I Quit matches, beating JBL, Batista and Orton (Don't think it was that order mind)

Chavo beat Rey in an I quit match. I think he had Rey upside down on some sort of scaffold where he bashed Reys leg with a chair. I think Rey was injured at the time and took somke time off.

Yeah. IIRC, the crowd hated the ending since it was was painfully obvious Chavo was smashing the scaffold and was hitting nowhere near his leg...

Also, the most memorable one for me....Mankind losing to Rock (iirc) when an audio recording was played of him saying it a few shows before hand...

Neither of you mentioned The Rock and Mankind which I referred to above, well without naming names. I remember thinking at the time "wow Foley is really screaming I quit!".

That was the first one that came to mind for me too.
Rock was pretty much the heel in that feud.

Yeah that's why I mentioned it since a heel won. Rock was in full on heel mode at that stage. Plus in his tracksuit bottom wearing phase.

It's similar to Mankind's loss but I want an I Quit match to end one time when someone gets desperate and yells "Say it! Say 'I quit'" at an opponent.

Course in Cena's case he would have be in a submission and rising into the FU/AA position or something: "I... will... not... say... I... Quit!" *ding ding ding* "Aw, poop."

Does anyone else utterly despise the ppv name?
I get when they are doing a gimmick type ppv like breaking point, hell in a cell, tlc and all that, but what's over the limit supposed to be?

Last year was an I Quit between Johnny 4 moves and Batista,
This year tis an I Quit between Johnny 4 moves and Miz..........

Maybe WWE's thinking is "push them over the limit till they quit"

Over the Limit is on Sunday night/Monday morning at 1am on Sky Sports 2/HD2. Normally, a replay should be broadcast on Monday night at 9pm on Sky Sports 3/HD3

My brother said he could see Miz winning if he grabs a fan & threatens to hurt them if Cena doesn't say "I Quit" if something as Sappy as that happens I may just stop watching wrestling altogether.

... I'd kinda like that. It's Foley vs Flair's I Quit finish with Melina but maybe if it was Riley threatening a guy/gal from the crowd (who's probably just a plant by Miz anyway)...

i have hope that they'll throw out at least one surprise. I said before WM that I could predict every match and ended up with 1 or 2 right so hopefully they do something we're not expecting.

Looking forward to truth vs rey and christian v orton. Should be good matches, hopefully truth gets the victory. The I Quit match and cara v guerrero could be good aswel so maybe this ppv wont be as bad as people think. Probably not though!

Thats possible seeing as she wasnt on SD, maybe in an attempt not to overkill her.. over killing of the divas they will leave her to dominate in the womens match.
