Cake qty for 12"cake tin - URGENT

:eek:Hi can anyone please confirm the quantities i need for a 12" cake tin. I'm making a choc sponge cake for my daughter's first holy communion nxt wkend but am worried bout the cake!! how can i ensure it rises well??? Any advice would be appreciated...only have a few days to practice!!

...you might find a sponge too light to stay together at 12 inches, maybe try a devils food cake recipe instead for some structural integrity!
