Holy crap this game is good. I liked the first one but this is just brilliant.
The entire prologue blew me away, great voice acting, interesting characters, great combat, the quick time events and all were great. In Dragon Age i couldnt wait for any character conversation to be over but here i actually want to hear what people are saying.

Same bud! You actuolly interested in what is happening! You want to hear and find out where it will take you next. You cam write a book on swearing based on that game. You just have to do boxing matches in chapter one, you will loughs your panties off ;).

Best qoute so far "gerld, have a drink with me! Drinking alone is As bad as ****ing in company!" said by dwarf :)

Oh yeah, deffenetly get drunk with blue stripes!

I'll check that too m8. I am scrolling through all my games and enjoying the difference!

You need an absolute monster of a PC to do uber-sampling. It like renders the same frame 4 times, so it like quarters your FPS.

I was getting a noticeable, but playable drop in performance when I had it on. Turned it off, and enabled some of the ther stuff I had off instead and it worked wonders.

I got the first Witcher in the Steam sale because I had heard good things. Great fun so far, and only on Chapter 2. Fantastic characters and I'm looking forward to getting onto the sequel as everyone says it's much better!

    First one is good.

Second or is brilliant. While I play I just have my jaw droped down. It just looks amazing. Gamewise and atmosphere it's just plain awesome too.

I know it's coming to xbox, but I can't imagine it on xbox... It will be limited by alot. 5 millions discs too I guess.

Well, the first one is a 13gb download. The second one needs 16gb of HD space so that's a minimum of 4 discs. Not worth the hassle.

They are awesome and theyr game is awesome. Removing drm makes them eve more awesome. They look at gamers and make it easier for them.

What i dont like about this game is the way every once in a while, it just flings you into a **** hard fight out of ****ing nowhere. I jsut had to do that fight against some dude with like 5 henchmen, in a tiny room, where 90% of my deaths were because i just couldnt ****ing move

I don't use potions at all, i built up my sword skills and only built up the Quen sign and use that all the time as i can take a good few blows before i start getting hurt and it also electrocutes them as well :)

i so love this game, but difficulty ladder is all over the place. bosses are just freaking stupidly hard!!!

i am on bastord in chapter one and he just wipes floors with me, best attemped was getting him to half hp, then some sort of bugs kicks in where i press block, but he just rapes me, becouse games does not think i got block up :(

i so love this game, and i want to now what will happen next, but ffs difficulty is just lame, and i play on normal!!!!!

The Kayran? He was actually pretty easy, you just have to use quen and roll away from his tentacles when he whaps the ground with his tentacles. And run to the left and up the stone pillar thingy after the midway point

He is not that hard. I got him, but it was after good few times.

I am fighting THE fella now. He is just pew pew me. I am only lvl 10 thought. Does it have stupid scaling system?

you only need to get him down to halfway and he stops the fight
use quen to shield yourself or the trap sign

Got the game last day of the steam sale. Fantastic game! Just one bug that was very annoying. In the prologue during 'The Assualt' it wouldn't let me do anything to the ballista, apart from the odd crash it's fine.

Though during arm wrestles I have no idea what to do...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,929 ✭✭✭✭ShadowHearth

Well, I got quite a bit further. Is it me now or choose you do make huge difference?!

In games like mass effect I was just like meh. Here I have to choose and it's damn hard. No stupid good and bad side, it's more complicated.

    Love it!

The game completely changes depending on the decisions you make in the 1st act. Pick Roach or Iorveth, and you get a hugely different game. It's awesome :)

I made a video of Geralt balling hookers :D

Needless to say, its very NSFW, but comes with a funky porn soundtrack!

Yeah. Even before I choose I knew it has to be very very different. I can't believe how much work went in to this game! They deserve every penny!

Sure are a lot of Irish voices in chapter 2.
And someone just said "Go away, emo" :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,929 ✭✭✭✭ShadowHearth

Ah, I am in chapter 2 now. Love it. Spent all my money on proper armour. Sick of getting bum raped by anything that moves!

Got my thank you from elf woman that I saved in chapter one too ;) gigidi!

    only just picked this up.

Noticed it has gamepad support. Can anyone tell me if its easier or harder or not much difference between the two? I tried it with gamepad and have died twice now in the first major engagement over the ballista. :( not my proudest moment. Thinking it could be too much of a pain aiming wise with gamepad and should go with kb instead?

I started the game on normal but after a while i put it up to hard, didn't notice a huge difference. Fights got easier as i got better weapons and understood the game better, apart from bosses which took a good few tries to beat.

I like the mouse a kb, the mouse makes it easy to spin around fast and hit other targets.
