I never saw season 1 so Im watching this now. Just wondering do RTE actually watch the programmes they buy in to broadcast? The language on this programme is certainly not what I would expect RTE to show at 5pm!!!

Well at least we know where influence for all the x-factor nonsense came from in the latest BBC series. So this one has competitors printing out flyers, colouring them in, running around the streets trying to round up customers, and about a third of the second episode was taken up with a big brother style nomination ceremony. And of course lots of tears.

If you missed the start of the program and then tuned in, you wouldn't know whether you were watching big brother, the apprentice, or some other rubbish with a vague food theme.

Your loss, Bill. The aussie version is the best because it's not 12 episodes over 12 weeks, it's over 70 episodes where you form attachments to the contestants with 3 really likeable judges.

You're right about the evictions though, they drop that whole ceremony from season 2 onwards.
