I'm convinced that all the acts in general on X Factor would do much much better if they were allowed pick their own songs.

Actually, it would probably be better altogether if they had no mentors and all judges were impartial

Of course, that wouldn't be as entertaining though

Never happen. This show is an ego trip for the judges, I can't see them ever allowing the contestants to chose their song.

I know, pity. Would love to see what they'd choose. I'm sure the contestants have a wider range of musical taste than chart rubbish...some anyway.
