    Because then the girls who fancy them wouldn't fancy them anymore and they would move on to someone else,you should know by now most teen girls and boys arent about the voices or music if they dont think they can have them. lol

    I assumed XF would have them downplay it/not mention it because it's mostly young girls that vote in XF and straight guys would get more votes than gay men? Sounds silly but I think a lot of young girls vote for guys and dream of being their girlfriend.
    Also Joe Mcelderry didn't "come out" until after XF so I thought maybe he wasn't allowed.
