Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The UKMF and the IMC organised a 4 Nations event in Birmingham last weekend to highlight some of the talent thats in those same 4 countries and at the same time give fighters a chance to feel what its like to compete in the IFMA Europeans/Worlds by having to weigh in on weight each day and to have to compete each day also. There were so many potential fighters from all 4 countries that there was an A and B team event all under A class amateur rules.

John Craig took the Scottish team, Lee Powers the Welsh, Paul Hamiliton/Ryan Rudkin the English team and Sean Dillon/Craig O'Flynn the Irish team. The Irish had an unbelievable event with some brilliant performances, acting very professionally bang on weight each day and having a great team bond. Here are the results:

51kg Gavin Sheehan Sitjaipetch Ireland Junior - won Gold

51kg Megan Maher Waterford Thai Won Gold

57kg JJ Power Waterford Thai junior - Won Gold

67kg Sean Hodger Louth Thai Sitjaipetch Won Gold A class

67kg Mike Harty Hanuman Galway Lost

71kg Karl Joyce Lumpini Galway Won Gold A class

71kg Declan McGuiness Louth Thai Sitjaipetch Won Gold B class

76kg John McClaffertyWaterford Thai Won semi lost final

81kg Eoin O Mahoney Waterford Thai Won

81kg Scot Kelly Sitjaipetch Ireland Lose

86kg Gary Fay Merve Galway Lose A class

86kg Garry Walsh Waterford Thai Won B class

Irish Muaythai Council, Officials for the Event

    Mr. Sean Dillon
    Mr. Craig O’Flynn
    Mr. John Walsh
    Mr. Pat McEvoy

Although the team did great, a special mention must go to the following fighters who showed great skill and heart: Declan McGuiness who won two hard fights, JJ Powers who is starting to show great promise and especially young Gavin Sheehan who won his gold by stopping his opponent in the final with a knee. Congrats to all involved.

On a personal note I would just like to say I'm gutted for one of my lads, Mike Harty who trained like a demon for this, was clearly dominating his opponent in the first round looking a definate winner when he was caught with a head kick out of the blue.
