Hello, bought through Ebay from Priceguard last night and tried to pay via Paypal and all I get is Transaction Cancelled when I get to the end:mad::mad::mad:. Never had this before:confused:. Mailed Price-Guard but all I get is a copy paste and URL about a product called Afterbuy which brings me to Paypal.

    Any help welcome.
    Thanks JD.

This purchase so far is a joke so far with Priceguard.de on Ebay, I think I've tried to pay 25 times via Paypal and Afterbuy which I never heard about. Communication is very slow. Can I withdraw from Priceguard via Ebay or dose the Seller have to release me?

At this stage I want out:mad:

With Ebay normally it was Buy Now, pay via Paypal and package arrives a few days later.

If you get out and need to pay with PayPal, use this:

I'm going to use that as soon as my iPhone auction is over and someone has bought it.

Looks like a good few of these are running out of stock!

    es-mobilfunk don't have them anymore.

price-gaurd.de haven't got it on their website.

    Does "Elektronic-Versand" have a website?

Electronik Versand is German for "Electronic Shipping", but a quick visit to their seller page on amazon indicates the company name is actually "talk-point"
Here's talk-point's website, second phone is the one you're looking for.

Yeah, it's odd though. I got the email yesterday saying it had been shipped yesterday, when I got home today I got an identical email saying it was shipped today. Then an hour ago I got an email with the tracking number, it's only 20% now though, it hasn't even started moving, its 8pm in Germany now so hopefully it will move along tomorrow. I was hoping it would be further by now though. UPC is what I'd usually use and their shipping and tracking seems to be much more efficient.

Just found out 20% means DHL haven't even collected it yet :(

You can always put €190 on a 3v visa card and buy it on amazon.de?

From my understanding of it 20% means its the shipping has been electronically requested, 40% means it is in transit 60% means its at the last package centre before it gets to you 80% means its on the last part of the journey and 100% is you have it, has everyone's been skipping 40%?

Does anyone know if its going by plane or boat?

Mine was on 40% last night. 60% means it has left the country and as far as i am aware wotn change from there ever as you have to use anpost to track it the rest of the way. I would say once it is at 60% you wait another 3 or 4 days for delivery. And it's airmail.

Better hope that they picked it up today as tomorrow is a bank holiday in Germany with most businesses closed. But if it has been picked up it should be in Ireland by Friday morning.

Tomorrow's also a public holiday here in Sweden, so I won't get my phone until Friday as it's stuck in the Post office.

I also dont like the dhl line that says:

Next Step: This Item has been shipped to Destination Country!

NEXT STEP!!!! If this item aint been sent to Ireland Yet, Germany will be getting an awful bollocking when I go to Berlin on Friday! Plus with a bank holiday weekend it is looking like I wont get it until tuesday........... 10 DAYS AFTER MY ORDER WAS APPARENTLY SHIPPED!!!

    Cowboys Ted!!!

Well lads, does anyone know the difference between this for E170:

    http://www.amazon.de/LG-Optimus-Smartphone-Vodafone-Branding/dp/B0049I4EFG/ref=sr_1_38?ie=UTF8&m=A1Y1BK9942Q7RR&s=generic&qid=1306952134&sr=1-38

    and this for E193:

    http://www.amazon.de/LG-Smartphone-Touchscreen-interner-Speicher/dp/B0044BCTU0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&m=A1Y1BK9942Q7RR&qid=1306952987&sr=1-1

They're both from price-guard so I'd imagine the shipping is the same. One says Vodafone branding but that doesn't seem to be an issue, as it was mentioned earlier in the thread that this was just a few Vodafone apps. I'm guessing maybe one is an 8gb and the other's a 16gb?

Has anyone here bought the E170 version?

No all models of this phone are 16GB. THe reason for hgiher price is because its got vodafone branding on the box and a few vodafone apps on the phone..

Done, bought the E170 one from price-guard, it came to E189 with shipping, I'll report back when it arrives. It's technically for the gf but hopefully she'll hate it and I can offload my Samsung Wave on her!

Does anyone know of a site that compares amazons prices for each european country.... i.e amazon.co.uk amazon.de amazon.fr etc.. etc..

I posted a thread about it in the bargain alerts as this post will probably be lost in this giant thread!

Poor Paddy, he pays more than anyone in Europe AGAIN:

Right, theres not a hope I'm reading 23 pages of something im not interesting to see if this was posted but....

DHL are probably using Deutsche Post to send this, hence why it may be taking longer than expected.

If it was DHL Courier, then it wouldn't be delivered by An Post to your door, it would be one of their own couriers.

Yep, been mentioned a few times. Although deutsche post is dhl.

DHL express is the courier service.

Ah sure isn't it great that the "Poor Paddy's" are buying up all the Smartphones in Germany. According to DHL mine is at 60% at the moment so in accordance to this thread it has left Germany and is winging it's way to me at this very moment, it's like Christmas all over again. Two weeks ago I couldn't even read German and now I'm practically fluent "Vorsprung durch Technik und Auf Wiedersehen, Pet".

Trust me on this there really is no point in going to An-Post track and trace to track your goods, I have had goods arrive at my door when on the track and trace it still says its in portlaoise mailing centre

That's a shame. I won't be able to receive MMS messages unless I jailbreak it?
If o2 support the phone in future and are able to push out the settings would this work?
Is this an issue on all Irish networks?

EDIT: Found this long thread about it. Seems ridiculous you can't change MMS settings:

Jailbreaking only gives you the ability to manually change it from the defaults, although it would probably work on the vodafone network in Germany.

In Win7 phones, I don't think the settings can be pushed to them. Open to correction, though.

On three, anyway. Haven't tried any other networks yet.

On another note, is anyone else having issues with location services?
