I used to be a customer but moved to Bord Gais - what will I save if I move back?

I am an ex-ESB customer who abandoned you (sorry;)) and made the big switch a couple of years ago to Bord Gais for my electricity.

My bills would normally be around the €100-120 mark for each 2 months.

Would it be worthwhile making the switch back to yourselves?
How much do you think I could save?

What would be the cheapest possible unit price you could offer?

    Hi NIMAN,

Thanks for your interest. Our SuperSaver plan would offer the maximum savings. Details as follows (all prices quoted are pre VAT):

    Electricity
8% off the ESB standard tariff/unit price, bringing the discounted unit price on the SuperSaver to 12.86 cent
An additional 4% off the SuperSaver unit price (12.86 cent) for direct debit
An additional 2% off the SuperSaver unit price for online billing

    Gas
An additional 3% off the SuperSaver unit price (12.86 cent) for having both utilities with us (Dual Fuel)
2% off the Bórd Gais standard tariff
An additional 2% off the Bórd Gais discounted tariff, for direct debit
An additional 2% off the Bórd Gais discounted tariff, for online billing

These prices are based on a 24-hour meter, but if you have a dual tariff meter, the discounted unit prices under the SuperSaver plan are 13.73 cent Day/6.79 cent Night

There is no contract with any of our new Price Plans

Direct debit is mandatory, except for existing customers. However, while it is a requirement that direct debit details be on the system, there is no problem with making manual payments towards the account balance, which will help reduce or eliminate the amount due by direct debit once billing time comes around. Manual payment options here. And the Easypay card can be sent to a customer once the account is set up.

Online billing is not mandatory but if you opt for it, all accounts must be registered online within 30 days and login details will be supplied so you can view your bills. This registration process is necessary for the discount to be applied. If it is a Dual Fuel account, online billing would automatically be applicable to both utilities, if opted for.

Other charges applicable to the SuperSaver, such as standing charge, PSO levy, carbon tax, VAT are the same no matter which supplier a customer is with.

    Hope that helps. :)
    Una
