Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I currently have a netbook however I want to get a desktop, I have an old 15'' monitor so I was thinking maybe all I need is a 2nd hand desktop and get a new keyboard and mouse.

However part of me says get a new one which is grand for my budget.

All I need it for tinternet, ms office and a small bit of programming.

Do I really need a get a new one for the above?

You can still get a new one without the monitor, keyboard and mouse, etc. You could also just get a keyboard, mouse and VGA cable, and plug your laptop into the monitor if that would suit you, and will cost you a hell of a lot less.

If your up for it you can save a packet by building it yourself, seeing as you only want it for very non power intensive purposes you could do it for around €300.

Hitch up your monitor to the netbook!
