Managed PRSA or Execution PRSA

I'm looking at opening a PRSA. Now do i open a managed one and pay 5% on all monthly payments and 1% annual charge or a Execution only account and place the money in the fund i think will be ok for me and only pay 1% annual charge and nothing on monthly payments.
