    Hi,
Heading to Oz in a few wks and wondering which company should I go for when hiring out a campervan?

    wicked [quote: $700]
    or
    autobarn [quote: $1000]

Now obviously I would go with the cheaper price, but are they alright?
    Any advice greatly appreciated

When we done the east coast a few years ago we got a van from this website: www.cheapmotorhomes.com.au. It was the cheapest we could find at the time. It was actually cheaper to go through this website than to book direct from the company as far as I can remember. Back then I wouldn't have touched a wicked van because they were death-traps but they have upgraded their fleet since then and most of the vans they have now seem to be fairly new.

I see wicked vans all the time, they look like ex- tradie vans with a mattress in the back.

Cheers Adio - that site looks good, getting a cheaper quote on it too :)

To say that their road-worthiness is questionable would be fair.*

Well they would have to be road worthy, but you get what you pay for.
