Grass not being cut by Council/Corporation

    They can manage to set aside 1/4 of a million to paint the English Market but couldnt manage to run a lawnmower along the grass around some parts of the city and county.

    Up Sarsfield Rd, out along the Ballincollig by-pass, the Dunkettle Roundabout... you'd get lost in the grass it's so long.

    How can this happen? Do they not have a plan in place?

    In any other line of work the person responsible would be fired. Not in the public sector though. He/she will most likely get a bonus and a few more days off.

    They'll probably cut it when that ould bitch from England arrives, which is probably where all their funding is going anyway

    They must have heard you. The grass was being cut at the Dunkathel interchange today.:) City Council were working along the South Link Road central reservation on Sunday. Deffo getting it ready for Lizzie Windsor alright.:rolleyes:

    Yeah they cut Sarsfield road aswell yesterday or the day before. Fairly rough aul job though.

    It was so long I'm not surprised it now looks a mess. Just like the Corporation I suppose.

    Every now and then there seems to be a fad for not cutting grass . Years ago in Hamburg I was shocked by the state of the grass on the central reservations of the roads etc and it turned out that the authorities were testing to see how it would work out not cutting the grass and not killing weeds etc.

    Yea to protect the wildlife and all this carry on. but now they have to make it look nice for ould Lizzy Winzer

    If it bothers you so much then cut it yourself.
