Interesting thread, hope it wins for ya dude!

Any chance it is running tonight? Said it would be in a Hcap Hurdle...18:40 at Wexford?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

Have heard that this gamble on Custodian in the 6 40 tonight is from the same guys who punted D Four Dave exactly a year ago. Owner Douglas taylor(MCR recruitment group) got a number of foreign workers of his to place the bets in bookies nationwide.

Quote up on twitter from Bambury bookmakers confirming this:

"Non nationals that can't speak english mass backing Custodian in the 6:40 Wexford...Very similar to the coup that was pulled in killbeggan"

My guess would be Solomons Secret 6.40 Wexford
Or Arkmore Vallee in the same race
Both have no form at all have been backed from 33/1 to 20/1 on PP so far

Solomons Secret hasn't ran in over 600 days, so I think we could rule that one out...

From the races I have checked tomorrow, the other one you mentioned seems the most likely via the process of elimination. Could be very wrong though.

Highlights the trouble for the OP, there could be 3-4 owners trying to gamble a different dead cert in the same race!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,246 ✭✭✭Mgoraf

Although if it is that horse I'd imagine it would have been a lot shorter than 20/1 by now.

Another good point, I could be a mile off with my guess altogether.

    I guess time will tell

    SOlomons Secret is now 14/1

I think a lot of them in them two races have ran recently, so the ones that haven't ran since this thread was started would narrow it down.

Exactly :D but how do we know the OP is serious and not just an old "friend" of boards lookin for revenge?

In the first race that leaves:
Supercede - Last race Nov '10
    Steele's Rock - 4th May '11
    Hoopy - 9th Feb '11

    Second:
    None

Might want to check it yourselves.

Cant see it being S.R. Handicapper looks to be well on top of it and got a 10 pound rise for its last win. This is an ultra competitive race with a lot of horse from the top yards of Mullins,Elliott and Meade represented and can prob see a few of these runners turning up in galway in a few weeks time.

I may be wrong but would expect this horse to be pitched in a low grade handicap with a 7 pound claimer aboard and race conditions to be different to what it has encountered in its previous runs
