Last weekend I drove from Tipp back home to Dublin to visit my parent.
On the way home we took the old Dublin-Cork road and stopped off in Abbeyleix for a cuppa tea.

What a lovely spot Abbeyleix is!

We had a lovely cup of tea and a cake in Mrs.Quinns teashop.
    Fine establishment!

My wife commented that she'd like to visit Preston House restaurant that day.

well worth the visit,if you want to treat her to a special w/e, they have b&b also.
We were going to have our wedding reception there but the date didn't suit them.
There's something nice and relaxing about the place, hard to find that with all the hussle and bustle of busy life.

Ms Quinn's is expensive for what it is, coffee is nice but the menu is overpriced!!

    i like its quaintness though
