Computer cannot see Nuvi

    Hello all.

    Trying to update my bro-in-law's Nuvi 255W (did it for him last year), but the PC cannot see it. Have tried it on a Mac (Windows & Mac OS) and a Vista Laptop.
    No joy.

    Have installed Communicator, etc.

    Connected via Mini usb cable.

    All suggestions welcome!

    PS my own 760T is not being recognised either.

    Starting with the obvious... Have you tried a different lead?

    Uninstall all previous communicator versions .... then ...go into "device manager" in windows" and look for yellow triangles in the USB section .... if you find any, right click and uninstall them.

    Restart the pc and start afresh in mygarmin
