Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is a 125cc pitbike safe for a 13 year old boy? I don't even know who uses pitbikes or anything about them, any information welcome thanks

if they haven't ever driven a bike before i would say no, get an 85cc big wheel, pit bikes are exactly that, for driving around the pits.

A 50cc moped can be dangerous for an adult. If they get proper training and ALWAYS wear full PPE then they may be OK.

But if they've never ridden a bike before then maybe go for a 50/80cc model and make sure they are supervised at all times. Training is what counts.

Training is for out on the roads, I imagine the pitbike is for a field or whatever? Someone to show them how to use it and make sure they're wearing protective gear at all times. All 13 year olds are different, you will be the best judge of whether they are responsible or not.

That's training:D Bikes are dangerous vehicles and need to be treated with respect. It's slightly safer to learn off road, but you can still end up in a lot of trouble if not taught correctly.

Ah yeah that's to be expected, I thought you were saying that you'd need lessons to learn to fly around in a field! No harm, would have loved to do the same when I was that age (probably still love it now!)

I took some slaps when I started off in the fields. Some laugh though
