    SHINKICKER SALUTE RORY GALLAGHER
The fabulous Rory Gallagher tribute band Shinkicker bring their salute to the great Irish blues/rock guitarist to Kellys, Bridge St Galway.

Hailing from Devon, England, Shinkicker are a four piece band fronted by the electrifying and charismatic lead guitarist and vocalist Chris Stuckey who was described by UK blues magazine 'Blues Matters' as "the closest we've ever heard" and "close your eyes and hey, it's Rory." Shinkicker are annual headliners at the Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival in Ballyshannon and over the past twelve months have completed three tours of Europe and four tours of Ireland. Support slots for the band have included ex-Whitesnake guitarist and friend of Rory, Bernie Marsden as well as the mighty Walter Trout from the USA, legendary Fleetwood Mac guitarist Peter Green and blues luminaries Nine Below Zero and ex-Dr. Feelgood guitarist Wilco Johnson and his band.

Shinkicker perform the music of Rory Gallagher, presented in an honest and respectful tribute full of the dynamic spirit and musical prowess that was all encompassing in Rory's live performances. Inspired by Rory's ability to combine a thrilling live show with both technical mastery and wild abandon in his approach to music while remaining a completely humble and unaffected human being, Shinkicker treat every show as a one off, in the moment celebration to the life and work of one of the greatest guitar players and showmen of all time and as Chris states, "Rory never played it the same way twice, and neither do we !"
