Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Get yourself an Android phone and sync everything with Google (Contacts, Mail, Documents, Calender etc.)
Everything is stored in the Cloud and you can update everything either using your phone or your PC and it's all real-time and can be accessed from anywhere.

You can do all this with an iPhone also but it's more difficult and restrictive so I'd recommend an Android.

I just had a look at that software and it seems very costly for what you are getting.

It syncs with Google as well it states then why not just use Google in the first place?

Between Google and Dropox you should have everything you need to keep everything together and because they are all in the Cloud you can edit everything from anywhere.

I used the months trial of LightBlue - but eventually decided it wasn't for me. I used it for all new enquiries during that time, as well as entering some prior bookings - all to give it a good test.

I think it could be really useful if you have a lot of individual bookings to keep track of, with associated quotes and invoices.

However, I decided against it in the end. The main reasons were :

    - Poor email integration - it doesn't handle incoming mail (except by Cut 'n' Paste) and outgoing emails were difficult to format and change.

    - Clunky interface (in operation and appearance). This is largely related to the Filemaker software it's written in.

However, I would probably have bought it, if the email interface worked the way I would have liked. Lots of phtographers seem to really like it and the authors/support guys are really helpful.

Now waiting for for V3 of Tavé to see what that's like. In the meantime, use a mixture of Outlook, Excel, Word and Capsule (CRM)

Thanks for the suggestions and advice, probably as Aindreas says to stick to stuff in the cloud.

Good idea to keep stuff in the could, but whatever solution you go for it should have a cached copy offline. My interweb connection went down the other day and I really needed someones number and other details. The only place I had it was on Google. I found a solution and it's quite simple. Google offer a plugin called 'Gears'. It keeps an offline cache of calendar and emails. More info here. Don't know if android does an offline backup though. Works with most devices.... See here. :)
