Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    The First Summit Finish!

The Final climb averages 5% over 17km but has some digs of up to 10% which should allow gaps to be got.

    Very picturesque looking final climb.

Happy with the ending. Would of hated it to be stolen at that stage.

Indeed - with about a bike length to go! Couldn't have been much closer.

Looked like about a half a bike to me.

Have to say though, the lads closed a 30 second gap in about 1.5k so big respect to them too.
The look on Scarponi's face said it all as he crossed the line though, if he pushed a second earlier it could have been his race.

Too right Cian - never would have believed when the attack finally came that de Clerq would hang on for the win.

Scarponi has been up the front of most days finish and 'competing' for the winning bonus points, but most of the other GC contenders are lagging a bit. Presumably Contador is sandbagging or is just not bothered until the three days in the Dolomites (or maybe he has plans for Sunday on Mount Etna :)) but he doesn't look especially comfortable - as he didn't at Amstel Gold - is he having trouble?
