Looking forward to watching OSW Reviews Hatwave 98 later today on my lunch break. After a bad day in the world of Wrestling yesterday, I need a pick me up.

Really enjoyed the ECW Heatwave episode. Parking John Pollock style hand wringing the PPV is simply a rock out with your cock out great show.

When we get 1998 ECW TV on the WWE Network in the year 2019 or whatever you should check it out. Just a great Summer of programming that built up Heatwave fantastically.

Also there's a porn where Nicole Bass whips and stap ons John Kronus. That is all.

"So before we sign out we'll hit the WRESTLING IS ....disturbing.... segment!"

Glad you enjoyed the episode - it was one of the most fun shows to record :)

Thanks brotha! Recommending us to your mates is really high praise. Glad you're enjoying 'em, I wonder what about Heatwave convinced you to take a gander :)

Oh I've ordered more OSW t-shirts so all sizes will be back in stock in about a fortnight. To get high tee and print quality I can only order in bulk, so after this new batch that'll be it! When you get yours please send me a pic so I can mark out :D

Lovin' yer work as always...I love the ECW shows so far and I really liked the interview with Maffew too. It's a different thing for me now, I seen all the Hulkamania ppv's when they happened and I knew a lot about all that stuff so watching OSW Review was like a trip down memory lane. Watching the David Arquette stuff and this ECW stuff is different because it's not something I watched weekly.
While at times you guys do crack me up, I mostly enjoy bits where I learn things I didn't already know about wrestling, any funny stuff is more a bonus than a must.
I was wondering for a while what things I might have in common with you guys when I 1st found OSW review but after the mailbag episode, I found out what ways we are different people instead! That's not a bad thing, it was just educational for me. You'd fire Triple C from WWE before Vickie Guerrero or Michael Cole?
Sometimes I hear things on your shows that I disagree with intensly and other times it's like you're saying what I'm thinking. I do really like Ring Of Honor since I started watching it but it's not on me to tell other people that they should or shouldn't watch it. I kinda understand why Maffew likes CZW even though the few times I watched it, I wasn't a big fan.
I seen a guy working security on the entrance ramp on your ECW podcasts, and he pops up in other old ECW events that you have spliced into the podcasts, and I'm convinced that the same dude shows up regularly now as security at lots of TNA Impact shows, I think he even got a tiny segment with Hulk Hogan when he's being told to protect Hogans daughter from Aces & 8's a few months back. The guy doesn't look like Wurzel (he looks like Road Warrior Animal only nowhere near as scary) but he has that Wurzel gimmick of showing up on the entrance ramp a lot while not really doing anything.
When Hulk Hogan left TNA and I thought it would get much better, it somehow got quite dodgy instead, hence why ROH makes me happy!
I can't tell you Triple C's 1st name here but his other names are Cearst Celmsley!
Anyhow, again, if any of this seems moaney, it's not intended to be. I'm a fan of OSW review, even if you do hate Lance Storm and I don't! :)

Only got round to watching Heatwave '98 today.

Much better than the last ECW episode and considering you're all familiar with ONS, I expect it to be another classic OSW review.

If you decide to continue on after this, my vote is Crockett/WCW during the Hulkamania era or Invasion.

Thanks for the feedback blackpotato. With ~2 hours per episode you'll never agree with us on everything (or probably most things) but sure at least we explain it. Plus, snake charming!

Thanks chopper, could you be more specific with what you liked and didn't like?

Post here when they come in and I'll make sure to get one. Didn't realise they'd sellout so fast.

OSW review is my go to guy on duvet days. When I see a new show uploaded in like 'awwwww yeaaaaahhh' and the missus can forget about any notion of staying in mine the whole day, it back to her house for her I'm afraid. I liken (is that a word? Looks weird) it to seeing a new FSM or Power Slan mag in the shops, absolute secret guilty pleasure. The humour is just totally something I get and I'd wager it's biggest fanbase is the 20 something's and 30 something's that enjoy classic Simpsons and Sega/SNES, ironically all the pre internet stuff. Can't wait for the next one.

Would like to suggest SummerSlam 2002 into the mix for a possible future show.

I think it was just a more positive show. It helps when you all like it for the most part, with just a few negatives.

Also this one was just funnier than the last which always helps.

Not sure if its been asked already but do you keep track of the cumulative views each episode has had on the different youtube channels? Just spotted that the scooby doo episode has almost a 1/4 million views, seriously impressive!!

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,089 ✭✭✭✭rovert

Would imagine Jay and Maffew would be millionaires if their videos weren't pulled down

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,013 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

I do keep track, cheers! We passed 2,000,000 views recently, almost half of that is in 2014 which is ridiculous! No idea why Scooby Doo is so popular, probably just right timing. We don't make a cent off the videos though - they're monetized by WWE for using their footage (when they don't block it completely), it's just a hobby, I'm just stoked so many people dig the show :)

Silly question that popped up when I was in the Car today. What is your standard reaction when this comes on the radio:

Turn it up or change the station?

Has it ever come on a night out or in store? Do you mark out or cringe or do you think feck I need to edit the next video?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,101 ✭✭✭MitchKoobski

Was listening to that song in the car with one of the lads last week. I did the "IT WAS ACCEPTABLE IN THE.....nineties...." thing and giggled to myself. He didnt get it.

Ha ha! Mark out, turn it up. Don't hear it as often these days. The song was chosen when I was out in Coppers and it came on. "What an amazing song...it should me my song!" and that's the origin of that.

Going to Coppers is never acceptable no matter the decade :pac:
