Nielsen's let the pressure get to her there with a 10.0 dropping her to 5th place...

And final shot sees the gold medal go to a shootoff between Yi and Pfeilschifter on 502.0 and bronze to Zublasing 0.2 points behind them, with Nielson a point away in fourth place! Incredibly close result this, and what were the odds of a shootoff for gold in both the Men and Women's 10m matches?

And Yi wins the gold medal with her 10.3 besting Pfeilschifter's 10.1! Incredibly tight match that!

That's going to be a good one to watch, now if ISSF would just get it online!

Bastard Sius live view! Martynov on 590 with a shot to go and the feckin' thing won't update!

He got it. Another 600 for that absolute machine.

    Nice one!

Re-watching the AR40 and AR60 finals at the moment, little interesting bits like the amount of time the collegiate shooters spend training (5 times a week, 3-4 hours a time, plus physical training on top of that). Hope ISSF starts putting more of that sort of thing into these videos, it's a good window into how others shoot. (not to mention that for the AR40 finals, they got in an actual shooter to help with the commentary...)

Ray's currently in action in the second elimination relay for the 50m prone. Best of luck to him now!

    Watching away here. 93 98 so far for the first two strings. Sidi's on 98 98, Campriani is on 97 39 (he's only shot 13 rounds though :D ), Stirton's on 96 9 (out of 11), Hammond on 97 60, Emmons is on 100 100 70 out of 27 shots (maybe another 600 in the making?), Debevec on 97 100 30 and Gonci on 98 50...

Not the easiest day for Ray. Another string in, a 94. No hope of getting through the elimination rounds now.

Doesn't look like many people are having a good relay of it at all - lots of 96s and 97s out there today. Mirage was pretty bad during the 3P match, and we don't get to train much for that here, I'll bet that's playing into it :(

Come up to DRC or Midlands on a sunny day and say that again. :p We get enough mirage here to train well with it, to be honest. So far, top score on this relay is a 596 though, looks to have really picked up in difficulty towards the end.

And with old soviet ammo too apparently...

Eh, if it's his prized batch of Olymp, I don't think that represents the same image that "old soviet" usually conjures up. :p

Fup! Hearing now from those there that it wasn't one batch of Olympia, but that he had some RWS, some Eley and some Olympia and used all three in that one relay to shoot 600!

Also hearing that the wind was far worse on the second relay than on the first...

How did Ray finish up??

Been trying to get it up but the previous links are so slow today for some reason they seem to be timing out on my machine.

Can anyone print his match as a pdf, and a list of the results??? :P

I could take exception to that comment...........if it wasnt true!! :p

What can I say, I hate computers and waiting on sites to load up. We have lost about about half our time in the last three weeks bacause BT decided to change settings that our router didnt like!! and they dont tell you this ****!!!

Looks like Ray was well below his parr, those groups are definately not what he's used to looking at. It must have been terrible conditions to end up on a 576

    Its those Bleikers, they're rubbish!

Martynov shot a 600 in the same conditions with one of those fabulous Anschutz actions!

And whatever ammo he had lying in the bottom of his kit bag if the rumours are true. I'm gonna try that *runs off to find half used boxes of ammo*

Well, not quite - Martynov shot on an earlier relay and the british team in Ft.Benning did say that the conditions on the second relay were far harsher than the first.

I've seen stranger - try hiding your cheekpiece and making one up out of empty ammo boxes, that seems to work :D
