I am looking for information about the IRA activity in these areas(Cavan and the west part of Meath) in the war of independence and civil war. I know it was not the most active area but there would have been some action I would imagine. The area is mentioned (Killeshandra) in the chorus of the song 'Come out ye black and tans'
Come out you black and tans,
Come out and fight me like a man
Show your wives how you won medals down in Flanders
Tell them how the IRA made you run like hell away
From the green and lovely lanes in Killashandra

Any sources, books, online links appreciated.
