I used the above code last night to book a hotel in july in alicante....and it worked 10% off but tried it again there this morn and it wouldn't work....

I doubt you can do it because it says the following on fatcheese

12.00% cashback on completed bookings with Hotels.com

Please note: there is no cashback available when a voucher code not listed on the FatCheese website has been used

At that rate fatcheese is 2% better than the standard 10% codes.

Can anyone tell me where these codes come from? Am wondering if the hotels that have 'best price guarantee' policies would match the rates got using this 10% discount ... the one I'm looking at in particular states
"The guarantee does not apply to non public prices, i.e., promotions and preferential rates, corporate or negotiated for companies."

Am I right in thinking that this 10% discount rate is likely a promotion rate??

Thanks for that - wasn't sure where the discount code came from but I think its by e-mail only so what you say makes sense, thanks! Not sure if we will book with Hotels.com instead as they need the whole payment up front and there's 3 rooms for a week so I was hoping to just pay the deposit now as its not until December ... will see

I used this codeand fatcheese earlier this month. The fatcheese refund though is still pending, with an estimated award date of "following stay"

The "stay" was on 19th August, so wondering if this will ever come through?

I also just made another booking there using the same system for the start of october, so hoping they both do come through with the 12% refund on fatcheese
