Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can you tell yet that I'm new? ALL the questions!

So I've the bike on order and am wondering about Jersey+Shorts,...

    1. Where is the best place to purchase(munster area in real-life;) and/or online)?
    2. Are the sizes simular to day-to-day clothes?
    3. Can any one recommend brand that are good (value)?
    Thanks

Check out the dhb range from Wiggle. Pretty good value clothing imo.

Probably best to buy in a local shop first go get the sizing right.

This tread is worth a look, Best Bike Shop in Cork:

Also The Edge Sports Shop's new outlet off the Kinsale roundabout have a good selection:

Some online shops are, wiggle, probikekit, chainreaction cycles, ribble, etc.
You'll find loads if do a google uk search of a product, probably the best way to find a bargain.

Prendas. Trust the sizing charts and ask them if in doubt.

The sizing of day-to-day clothes I find to be very unreliable between brands (and sometimes even within the same brand). Cycling clothing is similar in that a size that fits you in one brand may not fit so well, or at all, in another brand. Always check the retailers size guides, where they have them, and/or check the manufacturer's sizing guide too if they make them available on their own website.

Also, some cycling kit manufacturers make some kit in the same size but with two different styles of fit - a "race fit" meaning tighter and aimed at leaner riders, and a regular/casual/club fit meaning looser and aimed at those less comfortable in snug fitting clothing or, er, big-boned.

Etxeondo ! amazing kit, Assos quality, actually prefer the Etxeondo Chamois to the Assos S5 one, and half the price !

    Can be found at TopBike

Look good Murph10, Prendas have them too:

Might pick them up sometime, I've Assos Uno's in the post at the moment, so I'll see how those fit first.

    all4cycling.com have a bigger selection:
