Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello all,

Have been merrily snapping away for a good few years now. I am nothing more than an enthusiastic amateur and am only recently learning post processing techniques using Lightroom. My Kit is a Nikon d70 with an 18-70, a Nikkor 50mm 1.8 and my pride and joy, a Nikkor 70-300 vr2.

Below are some of my personal favorites. All C+C's welcome.

    No need to be lurking!
You've some nice shots there, please keep posting!

#1. is freaking me out, what's the story behind it? Is it related to #6 and some of your travels?

    Some negative points.
#2. & #3. look a tad over sharpened with strong halos around objects and have some serious dust bunnies/hair on the lens or sensor.
In #6. the white balance looks completely out, was this intentional and/or faithful to the scene?

The London shots are somewhat generic, but I live there so I see Camden and the Southbank quite a lot.

Get a blower and clean your camera!

Yeah no need to lurk I really like a lot of these so have at it!

#1 is the most pierced woman in the world, forget her name and not arsed with a google, she hangs in scotland mostly these days I thought? Did you meet her there?

Both castle shots are really nice composed and exposed. you could do some monster post processing on them, especially the second of the two. If not just to clear that sensor mark off the sky? was that on your lens or sensor actually??

The skating one would be good but only you weren't fast enough on your shutter I think and you got some over exposure on the chaps to the right of the image. But it's still nice and let's you feel the time of day, low sun late evening, its nice! The canon shot is really nice to, what lens was that? Is you camera full frame? I dont know anything about nikons!
