    Hi

Am driving down from the North East to Waterford on Friday with 2 young kids and a baby. We need to stop midways on the M9 to feed the baby and have a snack with the kids.

Could anybody recommend a spot along the road (or v near the road) which would keep the kids happy? Maybe has a playground in it (get rid of some pent up energy sitting in a car.....)?

tks a mill for your help

Most larger towns including Carlow have a town park and some like Kilkenny have the park within a reasonable distance of mcdonalds etc.

Leave the M9 where you see the sign for Balitore/Athy.
Take the left at the off ramp roundabout, drive down the new link road & turn right onto the old N9 on the Moone-Timolin bypass.
As you climb the hill towards Castledermot you go under a bridge then take a left about 100 yards up.
Left again & you're at Moone playground which is nice & has picnic tables.
There's a shop across the road also.

To get back on the M9 just go through Castledermot & rejoin at the Carlow junction.
It's 45 mins to the new bridge in Waterford.
