About summer last year I looked into getting some thinnings myself
I didn't source any at the time and ended up with birch
(cut and split although absolutely soaking), later I found and add in Donedeal.ie

It didn't say green or seasoned but I assumed it was green so 1 ton
green would be about 1.1 solid cubes.

My last contact with coillte (January) they were selling softwood thinnings
for 28 Euro per soilid cube for Spruce excluding delivery (about 100-150)
and that was by the lorry load too (About 30 Cubes per lorry)

Dry softwood per kg produces near identical heat/energy as hardwood
when burned and we have a much better supply of it, it dries quicker
but takes up twice the space per kg.
